Number Lines

On our quest to create more efficient problem solving strategies, we discovered how to use a new math tool this week: the number line.  When working on an addition story problem, Joey  figured out that if he started at one number, he could count on, hopping number-by-number along the line.  After he taught this counting on strategy to the class, other students realized that they could do the opposite to count backwards to solve subtraction problems.  Try it out in your homework!
